Santiago
Santiago is an experienced and highly qualified educator, who can expertly teach Spanish language and Hispanic culture to a wide range of students.
He holds a Spanish as a Foreign Language teaching diploma from International House and certified by the University of Barcelona (Spain), as well as a BSc in Business Management from Francisco Marroquin (Guatemala).
As an educator, Santiago started his teaching career in 2011 in Switzerland, where he taught primary and secondary students. Then, in 2014 he continued his career in Dongguan (Mainland China) for a year teaching in a kindergarten. In 2015 he moved to Hong Kong to teach at HKMA College David Li Kwok and YALC. He then gained experience as curriculum development and course planner by becoming Spanish Head Teacher in a renowned language centre in Hong Kong. Therefore, Santiago is very familiar with IB, GCSE and A-Levels curriculums.
In addition, he worked as a Spanish language and Hispanic culture lecturer at HKU Space and Open University of Hong Kong since 2019, where he provides, besides Spanish language classes, an insight of different cultural aspects of Spanish speaking countries; something that he has also taught in corporate language courses provided at companies based in Hong Kong.
In addition, he is also fluent in French and Italian, which has allowed him to connect well with a wide range of international students.
Hence, Santiago is a versatile and highly qualified Spanish teacher, who is passionate about sharing his knowledge with all his students, despite their age. With his guidance, dedication, patience, and friendly nature, his students are able not only to reach their goals in learning Spanish, but also enjoying their learning experience.
