Cambridge English: Young Learners is a series of fun, motivating English language tests, aimed at children in primary and lower-secondary education.
Cambridge English for Young Learners (YLE)
Young Learners English Tests (YLE) is a suite of English language examinations provided by Cambridge English Language Assessment and designed for children in primary and lower-secondary school (age 5 to 12).
YLE certificates are recognized as one of the most authoritative international testing systems for young learners of the English language. They are widely used for school applications and are therefore highly valued in preparation for school interviews.
The YLE certificates consist of 3 levels:
- YLE Starters (Pre-A1): for children who have just started learning English.
- YLE Movers (A1): for children who are building up a solid foundation of English
- YLE Flyers (A2): for children who are able to express their views and can effectively use past tenses.
Each level is assessed throughout the four language competences: reading, writing, listening and speaking. There is no pass or fail; instead, students are given “shields” for their progress and performance.
In addition, our English teachers will provide individual feedback to every student throughout the whole course.
Both individual and small group classes are available.
